Scope
Model and render multiple angles of power station and battery expansion. Produce renders for online catalog, editorial, and advertising assets.
Brief
Hysolis needed a set of photoreal 3D renders of the Apollo 5K, a product which at the time was still under development with no complete, final, real-world reference, as well as the accompanying expansion battery before photographs or physical product units were available. The renders needed to work across the online catalog, editorial placements, and also ad.
Approach
Client CAD was visually dense, frequently changing, and built for manufacturing, so I rebuilt and resurfaced it for clean reflections and UVs. Materials were authored to the client's specifications and painted by hand, so finishes match the desired physical product. Passes were rendered in Octane and assembled in Fusion, which let me adjust lighting and the final grade per shot without re-rendering.
Outcome
Delivered 12 final images used across the 2 products in Hysolis’s online catalog and marketing material.
